New Edition Of Groundbreaking Political Wall Art Released
Huge demand leads to 2nd edition of thought-provoking wall art depiction of peace and terror in the modern world
/Graphic Design PR News/ - Kendal, UK, August 31, 2008 - A_B_ Peace & Terror etc. by Peter Crnokrak, otherwise known as The Luxury of Protest, blends art, world politics and computational data to reveal the contribution each of the 192 member states of the United Nations has made towards peace and terror in the world. Using accurate figures obtained from researchers working in geopolitics, the limited edition print, A_B_ Peace & Terror etc. is presented as a dual-sided poster, the 'A' side displays each country's bearing on peace and the 'B' side displays each country's bearing on terror. By overlaying the 'A' and 'B' sides, Crnokrak presents us with a visually arresting piece of artwork that allows a direct visual comparison of each country's contribution to world peace and terror. Widespread interest in the artwork's initial production run has led to a 2nd edition, again this wall art is available exclusively from Design Supremo (http://www.designsupremo.com).
Using three concentric circles and varying line thickness, the image conveys detailed information regarding violence, the environment, individual well-being, human rights violations, weapon holding per capita and military expenditure per capita.
A_B_ Peace & Terror etc. Version 2 is a dual-sided silk-screen print on GFSmith Plasma Polycoat Glass Clear, 350 micron plastic. A_side printed verso graphite metallic black ink; B_side printed recto pearlescent white ink. It can be displayed either transparently, within sheets of protective glass, or with coloured card inserted to create a background that suits the location.
Peter Crnokrak is an internationally renowned graphic artist who has worked as a Senior Designer at The Apartment in New York and produced remarkable work for clients as diverse as MTV and Cin ma du Parc in Montr al. A_B_ Peace & Terror etc. has been featured recently in the respected international design magazine, IdN.
