Laurie A. Linn Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Laurie A. Linn started Communique Design & Marketing in 1991
ITHACA, NY, August 18, 2010 /Graphic Design PR News/ -- Laurie A. Linn, President of Communique Design & Marketing, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.
With 26 years of professional experience, Ms. Linn's strong leadership skills, willingness to take risks, and originality are what she attributes to her success. The list of her responsibilities as president of Communique Design & Marketing Inc. is a long one. She is in charge of overseeing finance, legal procedures, and accounts receivable, all while managing her staff and 50 clients. She also develops public relations, provides advertising and marketing campaigns, and coordinates account management functions with her clients. Before Communique, Ms. Linn worked as a marketing consultant for financial institutions.
When she's not working at Communique, Ms. Linn remains community-oriented. Examples of her community leadership include, but are not limited to, membership on the board of directors for Tompkins County Area Development, current co-chair of the board of directors for the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce, and serving on the board of directors for the United Way. Aside from being a member of several other campaigns and committees, Ms. Linn recently helped the United Way of Tompkins County surpass their $2 million 75,000 dollar goal, raised to support over 150 programs and services in Tompkins County. In recognition of her efforts, she received the 2009-2010 Patricia E. Stage trophies for Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.
Laurie has been the recipient of the National Association of Professional Women's "Woman of the Year Award," the "Distinguished Citizen of Tompkins County," from the Boy Scouts of America, and was recognized as one of the "Most Outstanding Women You Should Know" by the Cayuga Group.
Ms. Linn earned her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from the University of Vermont, and was inducted into the Baltimore Who's Who in 2008.
