HopeLine, Inc. Launches Logo Contest as Part of National Suicide Prevention Week
Nonprofit organization seeking design submissions for Teen TalkLine logo
RALEIGH, NC, September 08, 2011 /Graphic Design PR News/ -- HopeLine, Inc., a Triangle-based nonprofit providing free suicide prevention and crisis intervention help through its 24-hour crisis line and Teen TalkLine, announced today the launch of its Teen TalkLine logo contest in honor of National Suicide Prevention Week. The contest is open exclusively to all registered middle and high school students across North Carolina, and the winning entry will receive a Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1.
"Our Teen TalkLine is an important component of what we do at Hopeline," said Courtney Worthen, executive director of HopeLine. "We wanted to offer this contest specifically to teens so it would feel like something that was created by teens, for teens. HopeLine was founded on the principle of suicide prevention, and we hope this brings recognition to National Suicide Prevention Week and those who have lost their lives in such a tragic way."
HopeLine's Teen TalkLine was created in 1993 to offer teens an opportunity to talk to trained volunteers about important issues in their lives 24 hours a day. The teen crisis line is a free community program of HopeLine, Inc. targeted to Triangle residents, although it also accepts calls from outside the area.
Submissions for the Teen TalkLine logo contest should be emailed to courtneyw@hopeline-nc.org by January 31, 2012. For full contest rules, visit www.hopeline-nc.org.
